The Healing Power
of Nature
Protect Your Skin
This Summer with Oil of Mink
Summer is the time to utilize
the full benefits of Oil of Mink, the oil most characteristically close
to our own skin’s natural oil. This is the time to protect your skin,
heal it asit becomes over-exposed, and maintain its moisturizing qualities.
Since sun damage is accumulative, (that is it builds up and shows as aging
as time goes by), it is best to prevent sunburn and avoid having to treat
it. But should it sneak up when we are least expecting it, cool it down
with cold water, and apply Oil of Mink to your skin as soon as possible.
Add a few drops to bath water, mix a few drops in your “moisturizing lotion,”
and saturate the ends of your hair with plenty of the oil. Its natural
consistency helps it absorb quickly into the skin where it nourishes and
softens. Skin that has become dry, flaky, and itchy will benefit, too,
so saturate you skin for relief.
Check your skin products for mineral oil and try to avoid it as much as
possible. Mineral oil is a large molecule that does not penetrate through
the dermis of the skin, clogging it, instead, just as lanolin and petrolatum
do. So try to avoid these ingredients and don’t rely on them for moistening.
Extended use of some of these products may actually harm your skin, not
help it. For healthy benefits, an oil of natural origin is required.
To maintain the strength of the small muscles under your eyes, always
pat the oil on gently, using light motions going toward your nose, not
pulling your under eye muscles outward. This will help prevent eyes from
“bagging.”
Keeping Oil of Mink applied to skin before going out during the day will
also help prevent sun damage, as it has a SPF of 2.2. Although this is
not the SPF 15 needed to adequately prevent sun exposure, it does help.
Good for the whole family, Oil of Mink is versatile. Men, keep your oil
on heads, foreheads, and ears to keep those areas from showing signs of
sun exposure and apply it as a facial moisturizer after shaving, too.
Kids will find it soothing after hours of play in the pool. And women,
make sure you apply Oil of Mink to your neck, with long upward motions,
to avoid an aging look. And don’t forget lips and eyelids need oil, too.
As part of a complete program for summer health, Oil of Mink is an integral
part of Looking Good and Feeling Good. Continuation of your ProTrim Rx
program will help realize the swimsuit image you may want, and ProTec
works round the clock to maintain healthy circulation that assists Oil
of Mink to produce the healthy skin glow that we want, not only in summer,
but every day all year round.
Remember to pack your Oil of Mink when you head to the beach or boating
event. It’s definitely an essential you should not be without these days.
