ProTec Repairs, Restores, and Relieves
Slowing the Effects of Aging

Dr. Yerby Reviews: ProTec

Formulated especially to slow the effects of aging, ProTec has shown to be beneficial for both men and women at any age. As the name describes, this herbal supplement is designed to “protect.” Research indicates that the ingredients protect the strength of arteries, capillaries, and veins while reinforcing the connective fibers of skin, tendons, ligaments, and cartilage. The delicate balance of hormones is supported, and the important pH of the blood is prevented from becoming “acid,” a condition that can lead to chronic disease.

ProTec helps protect against heart disease, stroke, varicose veins, wrinkles, premature aging, muscle pain, poor circulation, arthritic pain, vision degeneration, cancer, pre-menopausal pain, and post-menopausal discomfort.

It is the unique combination of these plant-derived components that work together to promote stronger vascular and connective tissue integrity, while increasing the absorption and elimination of the toxins that can cause pain and cellular destruction, and at the same time helping to maintain a balance within the components of the endocrine (hormone) system.

The active properties of grape seed extract (Vitis vinifera) contain significant amounts of nourishing essential fatty acid oils, and the antioxidants tocopherols (vitamin E) and proanthocyanidins. The job of these “antioxidants” is to stop the chain-reaction of the aging process that happens at different rates for different people, depending on stress levels and exposure to environmental toxins. Antioxidants are nutrients that intercept and neutralize destructive “free radicals.” They do this by seeking out the free radical, (reactive molecule containing an unstable oxygen atom), to stop its need to travel through the body disrupting other molecular structures, in it’s attempt to try to stabilize itself. In simple terms, grape seed extract becomes the bodyguard of our health and longevity, throwing out or arresting the troublemakers, so that life can continue without the effects of damage, disruption, or distress. If one should observe the rusting effect of an abandoned vehicle, or watch an apple exposed to air turn brown, you are seeing the effects of oxidation. Continued use of the antioxidants in ProTec appears to be important in preventing that aging process from happening within our own bodies.

Aloe (Aloe vera) has anti-inflammatory properties and cell-regeneration action. Consequently, that which may be painful through causes of inflammation (arthritis, infection, etc.) may be helped to heal with Aloe, and the micro-damage from the physical stressors of “life in the fast lane” can be assisted to recover, as well. Some scientific evidence also suggests that Aloe has antibacterial properties, too. This is helpful in preventing overgrowth of intestinal bacteria, which can cause gastritis, and painful gas or bloating. Its properties of vasodilation (widening blood vessels) helps in the delivery of the grape seed extract to the small capillaries where the benefits of prevention of stroke, dementia, and peripheral vascular disease can occur.

Aloe also balances the pH of the blood. If the blood becomes too “acidic”, it has to rob the body of its calcium supplies in order to restore its alkalinity. Our bodies do not like to be acidic and illness may develop if left uncorrected for very long. Stealing calcium from our bones can lead to osteoporosis. We create an acid environment through dietary assaults of eating animal foods such as meat, drinking sodas, coffee, and alcohol, and eating sugar-rich foods.

As a great toxin-absorbing agent, Aloe also helps remove the circulating poisons that can cause pain and disease. Its polysaccharide component, acemannan, possesses significant immune system enhancing properties, as well as strong antiviral activity.

Wild Mexican Yam root (Discorea villosa), has been used as a “natural alternative” for estrogen replacement therapy. But, as its other name (Rheumatism Root) implies, it has beneficial anti-inflammatory properties effective for rheumatoid arthritis, too, and its anti-spasmodic action is important to help relieve painful menstruation and cramps, ovarian and uterine pain, and labor pain. It is also helpful with intestinal colic, diverticulitis, and Irritable Bowel Syndrome earning it it’s other name, Colic Root.

The saponins in Wild Yam are used by compounding pharmacies for the production of natural progesterone hormone creams and pills, and although most research references say that Wild Yam does not convert to progesterone in the human body, only in the laboratory, many women are seeing beneficial results for control of hot flashes when taken in the ProTec formula. This could, however, be the result of the weak phyto-estrogen properties of Wild Mexican Yam.

It is easy to see that ProTec is not only protec-tive, but it may also repair the body from physical stress, restore tissue strength, and relieve pain… an excellent formula for Looking Good and Feeling Good for both men and women.
